Supporting Mainland Enterprises Going Global | HKICEC Fully Support the Successful “Insight Forum”

One of the founding purposes of HKICEC is to leverage Hong Kong’s advantages as a free port and under the “One Country, Two Systems” framework, making full use of the chamber’s platform to act as a “super connector.” By building a two-way exchange platform of “bringing in” and “going out,” HKICEC aims to drive the industry towards internationalization.

Organized by the Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF)and fully supported by HKICEC, the policy research report launch event and Insight Forum titled “Setting Sail from Hong Kong: A New Era for Enterprises Going Global” was successfully held earlier. The report outlines a “four-stage” framework for Mainland enterprises to expand overseas and provides concrete policy recommendations addressing Hong Kong’s service pain points at each stage, with the goal of positioning Hong Kong as the preferred first stop for Mainland enterprises venturing abroad.

HKICEC Chairman Mr. Jacky Tse, Deputy Secretary Ms. Hu Ping and Executive Director Ms. Sally Fong attended the event on behalf of the Chamber. Dr. Bernard Chan, The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the HKSAR Government, and Ms. Alpha Lau, Director-General of Invest HK delivered speeches. Dr. Jane Lee, President of OHKF, remarked that “Positioning Hong Kong as a national gateway for enterprises going global is about deeply connecting resources and services between the Mainland and Hong Kong, achieving an organic integration of ‘Mainland innovation incubation’ and ‘Hong Kong international empowerment.’ This is not only a service upgrade but also an institutional innovation, making Hong Kong a strategic hub for China’s high-level opening-up and new development paradigm.”

Through diverse platforms, HKICEC will continue to support member enterprises in connecting with the world, advancing towards international markets, and jointly creating a new chapter of sustainable industry development.
