On 28 May 2026, HKICEC invited Mr. Marco Hui, First Vice President of Bank of East Asia (Corporate Insurance Business & Digital Development Department, Wholesale Banking Division), to brief members on the core aspects of Employees’ Compensation Insurance and Property All-Risks Insurance.

Employees’ Compensation Insurance is mandated by law, and all employers are required to purchase it for their staff. The protection applies to all employees—local or foreign, full‑time or part‑time—under the relevant legislation.

Property All‑Risks Insurance offers one of the most comprehensive coverage scopes among property insurance products and plays an important role in members’ enterprise risk management.

Members actively raised questions during the seminar, covering topics such as on-duty accident coverage, whether losses from spontaneous combustion of goods are claimable, premium budgeting, and the appointment of surveyors. The speaker provided clear and professional responses.

Before closing, Deputy Secretary Mr. Luo Yaohong presented a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of HKICEC to thank the Bank of East Asia for its support. After the seminar, many participants also approached the bank representatives to enquire about other related services. Members expressed a high level of satisfaction with the seminar content through the post-event survey. The Secretariat will continue to organise relevant sharing sessions based on members’ needs.
