The Hong Kong International Communications Electronic Chamber (HKICEC) is dedicated to uniting the global communications and electronic industry, fostering innovation, sustainable development, and international collaboration. We aim to facilitate information exchange within the industry, promote the establishment of partnerships, and drive industry growth. Leveraging the advantages of sustainable technology, we actively advocates for a low-carbon lifestyle through electronics recycling to promote the circular economy of telecom equipment. Guided by our founding principles of "Gathering wisdom and strength, Connecting the world, Empowering the industry, and Contributing to society", we are committed to advancing the industry's prosperity and building a responsible, innovative, and globally influential industrial ecosystem.

About HKICEC

Established in December 2024, HKICEC serves as a key industrial body for the communications electronics sector. Founded by industry leaders, we enhance global trade flows, leverage Hong Kong’s entrepôt advantages, and uphold quality standards to strengthen Hong Kong’s pivotal role in telecom trade.

Core Objectives

Hong Kong, as a vital global re-export hub for telecommunications equipment, has long held a pivotal position in the trade of communication devices. HKICEC is rooted in Hong Kong, connected to China, and engaged with the world—moving forward together with our members. HKICEC is committed to five key missions:

  1. Enhancing Communication: Bridge members with governments, regulators, and professional services (legal, accounting, banking).
  2. Industry Standards: Partner with global telecom associations to share market insights and data analytics.
  3. Value-Added Platforms: Offer seminars, training, and resources to align members with international best practices.
  4. Professional Support: Provide legal/financial aid to ensure compliant operations and member rights.

Governance

HKICEC's founding members comprise leading enterprises from the communications and electronic equipment industry, including listed companies in mainland China, Hong Kong, and overseas, as well as corporate members. Collectively, they represent over USD $100 billion in annual revenue.

HKICEC's decision making council comprises the Chairman, President, Chief Supervisor, and Chief Secretary, who collectively set strategic direction. Working with the Treasurer, they oversee financial governance. An Executive Committee is appointed to manage day-to-day operations.

Future Outlook

Expand membership, deepen supply-chain ties, and align with national/Hong Kong policies to advance green electronics and a dynamic business ecosystem.
