On December 19, 2024, HKICEC organized a crime prevention seminar for the local mobile telecommunications industry, to strengthen industry norms and enhance crime prevention awareness among our members . The seminar was co-hosted by the Police Community Relations Office and Crime Prevention Bureau of Kwun Tong Police District, in collaboration with the Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee. HKICEC invited Mr. CHAN Wah-yu, Nelson, MH, JP (Chairman of the Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee) and Mr. Jacky Chan (Committee Member and HKICEC Chairman) to attend. Over 50 industry elites and enterprise representatives also participated. During the seminar, Senior Inspector Ms. Ho Wai Yee from the Crime Prevention Bureau explained local crime trends and strategies to respond to violent incidents, suspicious individuals, and suspicious vehicles. Later, Ms. Leung, a security industry consultant, shared insights on installing security facilities at appropriate locations. Participants remained fully engaged throughout and actively raised questions during the Q&A session. This seminar successfully enhanced the defense awareness of participants and the telecommunications industry.
